My approach is humanistic and person-centered, and I draw from a variety of somatic, mindfulness, and experiential practices. I have a passion for using what we know about the nervous system to promote healing. This involves exploring an embodied relationship to your self, your immediate environment, and others.
In your first session, we'll explore what brings you to therapy and discuss some helpful ways we can address the challenges you're facing. I take a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety and stability in the early sessions of therapy. Early sessions often include discussion of how your nervous system responds to stress and research-based relaxation techniques.
In addition to my masters-level education in Clinical Psychology, I have undergraduate degrees in Neuroscience and Music. I also have over a decade of prior work experience advocating for survivors of trauma and others navigating complex systems during difficult times.
I have availability to meet in person at my Ann Arbor office, outdoors at a local park, or online with clients anywhere in Michigan!
You deserve an opportunity to simply meet and get to know a new therapist before diving into therapy. Schedule a free initial consultation here.
I can currently accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Priority Health, and these Medicaid plans: Blue Cross Complete, Meridian, and Molina. If you will not be using insurance, I offer a sliding scale fee per session between $85 and $125.
